Different Carpet Soils Require Different Cleaning Methods

There is no one way to clean carpets correctly. ServiceMaster Recovery Services offers three different carpet cleaning levels to meet your needs, from general cleaning to cleaning and deordorizing carpets after flood or fire. Our professional carpet cleaners identify the soil level then select the appropriate cleaning process to assure fresh, clean carpets.

Standard Level Carpet Cleaning

Carpet Conditions: Good condition. Soil level 1/3 to 1/2 depth of pile. May have slight smoke residues. Light to moderate loose soil. Light to moderate attached soil. Moderate crush in traffic lanes. Some spillage.

  1. Pilate entire area
  2. Vacuum clean entire area including edges
  3. Treat spots
  4. Apply FiberFresh® PreSpray or FiberFresh® Ultra mixture
  5. Rinse with clean hot water and extract
  6. Pilate entire area
  7. Apply fiber protector (if specified)
  8. Inspect for 100% satisfaction

Gold Level Carpet Cleaning

Carpet Conditions: Good to fair condition. Soil level 1/4 to 1/2 depth of pile. May have smoke residues. Light to moderate loose soil. Heavy attached soil. Moderate to heavy crush in traffic lanes. Some spillage.

  1. Pilate entire area
  2. Vacuum clean entire area including edges
  3. Treat spots
  4. Apply FiberFresh® PreSpray or FiberFresh® Ultra mixture
  5. Shower shampoo traffic areas
  6. Rinse with clean hot water and extract
  7. Pilate entire area
  8. Apply fiber protector (if specified)
  9. Inspect for 100% satisfaction

Platinum Level Carpet Cleaning

Carpet Conditions: Good to fair condition. Soil level 1/2 to full depth of pile. May have residues from smoke or water. Moderate to very heavy soil or soot. Heavy attached soil, deeply embedded. Heavily crushed and matted traffic lanes. Few to many spots. May have some permanent stains.

  1. Pilate entire area
  2. Vacuum clean entire area including edges
  3. Treat spots
  4. Apply FiberFresh® PreSpray or FiberFresh® Ultra mixture
  5. Shower shampoo entire area
  6. Rinse with clean hot water and extract
  7. Pilate entire area
  8. Apply fiber protector (if specified)
  9. Inspect for 100% satisfaction
